US OPEN TENNIS - FLUSHING MEADOW, New York SEPTEMBER 2006
The US Open is the last Grand Slam event of the year and has a unique atmosphere as the top players in the world battle it out for end of year honours. In 2005 World number one Roger Federer, successfully defended his title when he beat home favourite Andre Agassi in four sets. In the Ladies competition Belgian Kim Clijsters completed a rmeakable comeback from long term injury to win her first Grand Slam event as she beat Mary Pierce in three sets. Flushing Meadows always produces thrilling tennis and for any tennis fan it is an event not to be missed.

DAYTONA 500 - DAYTONA BEACH, Florida FEBRUARY 2007
The Daytona 500 is one of the most exciting races of the Nascar Series. In 2005 Jeff Gordon became only the fifth driver to capture his third win at Daytona. In an incredible race the lead changed hands four times in the last nine laps as Gordon held off Kurt Busch and Dale Earnhardt by just two car lengths. KENTUCKY DERBY - CHURCHILL DOWNS, Kentucky MAY 2007
The first race in the Triple Crown, the Derby takes place on the first Saturday in May and for many heralds the coming of Spring. With an expected crowd of close to 150,000, this year's 'Run for the Roses' promises to be just as exciting as always when Barbaro took the lead at the top of the stretch and raced away to win by 6 1/2 lengths from Bluegrass Cat in second.

CANADIAN GRAND PRIX - MONTEREAL, Canada JUNE 2007
The Canadian Grand Prix is one of the most exciting races on the Grand Prix calendar and Montreal always provides a fantastic atmosphere when Formula One comes to town. In 2005 Kimi Raikonnen took advantage of a rare pointless day for Renault to close the gap on the Championship leader Fernando Alonso who hit a wall whilst leading the McLarens. In what later proved to be crucial to the constructors title, Juan Montoya was black flagged for driving through a red light in the pits and thus cost McLaren vital points. The beneficiaries in the race were the Ferraris who finished second and third but Alonso would eventually go on to win the World Championship and become the youngest ever to do so.

US GRAND PRIX - INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana JULY 2007
The US Grand Prix this year will be run in July, on the world famous Brickyard track at Indianapolis. Last year's race was put to rest the chaos of the previous year when only six cars started the race. This year Ferrari's Michael Schumacher won a legitimate race out pacing his rivals from start to finish in his continuing bid to catch early championship leader Fernando Alonso.
